Response to "This is Water"

The article “This is water” written by David Foster Wallace. This article is different with previous article, which I was read.  This article starts with a speech, which is US commencement speech. The article uses fish story to narrate actual human value and material payoff.  First, the article explain that student have to know how to know and what you need to think. Then the author tells an example, there are two guys which are religious and atheist. They are arguing about the existence of God. The result is different people have different thinking. One is believe in god, he said: ”I’m lost in this blizzard”, but finally he survived. Another guy, he does not believe in god, so he think other person saved him, but it is not god. I like this sentence: “It’s easy to run this story through kind of a standard liberal arts analysis: the exact same experience can mean two totally different things to two different people, give those people’s two different belief templates and two different ways of constructing meaning from experience.” I really agree it.

I agree the author’s opinion, because people have different opinion when we face the same things is due to everyone have there own ideas.
